Our Ministries
St. John’s has been partnering with Gadsden Elementary for a number of years in order to support their mission to grow academically successful students.
St. John’s has recently partnered with Senior Resources to help care for seniors in our community.
Some of the projects we have been involved in are:

Senior Care Pantry - delivers meals to local seniors who are on the waiting list for Meals on Wheels.

Pet Pals - Pets are part of the family too and are a source of companionship and comfort for home-bound adults. This program helps clients care for their pets without sacrificing their own well-being.

Shoeboxes for Seniors - Spread holiday cheer to seniors in the community by filling boxes with new, unopened, gender-neutral gifts to brighten their holidays.

Some of the projects we have been involved in are:

School Supply Drive – Every August church members donate school supplies to be used by the students and teachers.

Adoption of a family at Christmas

Weekend Backpack Program – Supplemental meals and healthy snacks are donated, bagged, and sent home with 20 students every Friday during the school year.

Faculty Appreciation - the ECW provides refreshments for the school staff in appreciation for all their hard work.

Student Incentive Program - bikes and scooters were donated to students who showed most improvement on testing scores during statewide testing.

Little Lending Library - children have enjoyed having a variety of books to read and are encouraged to choose books to take home to read. We concentrate on stocking our little library in the fall.
